Greetings people of the Internet!
Welcome to “AsIsWritten”, a project which I hope will move people to help to solve the worlds problems via the use of their talents. Here I would like to explain exactly what I aim to do with “AsIsWritten” and hopefully what you can do to help in a more practical manner.
Many people with many kinds of talent are part of the fight to make this world a kinder and fairer place for all involved. Charities abound in great numbers, all trying to raise awareness and funds for their particular causes and goals. People with a passion and skill at organising are fulfilled in their management, people with excellent interpersonal skills are used on the ground, helping to solve the most difficult issues people face. People with understandings of engineering are developing new means for people to be self sufficient and people with a flair for mathematics and marketing are helping charities set their books open for all the public to see, that they could understand that the money is being fairly spent and not squandered.
At “AsIsWritten” I intend to bring together a group of people with a particular talent that I would like to think that I too share. Creative writing. There are many people throughout the world with a great ability and passion to tell wondrous stories, and it is those abilities and passions that I would like to harvest here for the good of the world at large. My plan is currently not fully formed in all its details, but this is an early stage and presently what I want to find of people is their interest in the idea. Essentially, what I wish to do is every six months to be able to publish, using a print on demand website, a collection of stories written by various people in various styles, which would then be sold to the public and the profits used for charitable purposes. Exactly which kind of charitable purposes I am currently uncertain, and I would appreciate some discussion towards that, however currently I am thinking of “Kiva.org” which is an on-line microfinance company.
Not all the details are fleshed out at this stage, but as interest is generated and people ask questions and discuss topics surrounding “AsIsWritten” and its aims and objectives, I feel that more details can be sorted out and we can indeed have a fully fledged and working system here. I hope to hear some feedback soon. Thank you
